Autumn is upon us and the colours are changing throughout the park. Reds, oranges and browns are starting to creep into the trees making for some lovely shots.
Allesley Park was originally used as a deer park when it was initially laid out by Henry de Hastings in the 13th century, although these days it is a lot smaller and is home to Allesley Hall. The Hall itself was originally built in the 17th century with the present day mansion built in 1909 by the Iliffe family now being used as a retirement home.
I started with a walk through the fairy forest which always brings a smile to my daughters face. The variety of houses on offer for the little folk is fantastic, although I’ve never met a fairy yet.
A walk around the park allowed for me to capture a few of the colours that are starting to encroach, before the obligatory ice cream and home.
